Recreational Facilities

Evans Bertrand Hill Wheeler Architecture has been actively involved in recreational and community projects in the North Bay and Blue Sky Region.  The principals of the firm have been engaged in large scale pool and arena projects.  In particular, the firm, while associated with Shore Tilbe Irwin Partners, completed the new Aquatic Community Centre in North Bay as well as phased renovations to the YMCA fitness centre.  As a senior principal with EPOH Inc., Ian Hill was a project architect for the new Sault Event Centre, in Sault Ste. Marie, a multi-use spectator facility with a capacity of 6000 persons and home of the Ontario Hockey League’s Soo Greyhounds.

Ecclesiastical Work

Evans Bertrand Hill Wheeler Architecture continually provides services to all faith communities including new buildings, large additions and renovations, as well as roof and building skin replacements.  The firm is very familiar with working for building committees and is sensitive to the requirements of budget and need for consistent service with open communication.  The firm appreciates that even the smallest project still requires meetings, presentations, and approvals by advisory boards.

Including and beyond ecclesiastical work, our firm and its partners remain committed to charitable organizations and community groups.
